A random sampling of shots from our trip to Mazatlán, Mexico. Enjoy!

This shot was taken looking straight down from our balcony. Pretty amazing, right? Well, one day I looked down only to see the water filled with rays…let’s just say I much preferred the pool.

A super sweet cat we met on one of our adventures. On the same trip, we saw giant rays jumping in the ocean!

Mazatlán is home to so many stray dogs; these are juts a few of a massive population.

A very hilarious aquasize class at a neighboring hotel – this shot had to be taken with ninja-like skill.

Ominous, right?

ADOPTING ANIMALS IS AWESOME! // The Edmonton Humane Society

November 26, 2009   |   Posted By Renee   |   Fun, Personal, Pets

My sister just adopted a new kitten from the Edmonton Humane Society and I am way too excited about it! She’s 2.5 months old, black, and so adorable! She’s yet to be named, but I think she’s a Roxy. She’s scrappy, fun, and full of energy, and needs a name with some pep! If you haven’t been to the new location, go and check it out! It’s great, and the animal enclosures are pretty darn impressive.

While we were there I fell in love with a 5 month old cat named Split. She is absolutely gorgeous, and just wants to sit in your lap and cuddle. She has very long, thick hair and I think that turns off a lot of potential families, but I can assure you she is very much worth the work that her beautiful mane calls for. Check out her bio page here – I can’t bear the thought of her not being adopted! If I were ready for a new pet, I would definitely have taken her home.

Leave a comment and let us know what you think my new extended family member should be named!

Here’s Split – isn’t she amazing?

Split with my sister’s new kitty! Oh my, they are both so great!

Having fun with her new toys!

Checking out her new bed after a long day!

If you are thinking of adding a new animal to your family, please be sure to consider adoption!
