JULIANNE AND ROWAN // Edmonton Portrait Photographers

May 1, 2010   |   Posted By Renee   |   Couples, Portraits

This past weekend Shaun and I headed out to take some new images for Julianne Cragg, the owner and operator of A Modern Proposal event and wedding planning! She wanted an up to date picture of herself for her website, and we suggested that her husband Rowan come along as well. We had an awesome time wandering around the Edmonton Centre For Education, and the Prince of Whales Armouries searching for great backdrops! If you are looking for a wedding planner with a unique, modern style and a super creative edge, Julianne is your gal! Check out her blog for samples of her recent work, tips, tricks, and everything else ‘wedding’ !

FLOYD AND COURTNEY // Downtown Edmonton Couples Photographer

March 13, 2010   |   Posted By Renee   |   Couples, Portraits

He’s 21, she’s 18. When Shaun and I started dating (7 years ago, wow!) he was 21 and I was 17. Everything was new and exciting and romantic; this is Floyd and Courtney right now: young and in love. Floyd booked this session a few weeks back and surprised Courtney with a bouquet of flowers and the news that they were going to have a portrait session together. So sweet!  Floyd lives in Winnipeg, so we scheduled the shoot during his visit to Edmonton. He’s back in Winnipeg now, anxiously awaiting this sneak peek!  This session was super hard to narrow down for the blog, so it’s a bit of a long one. Enjoy!

Steam poured out of this smokestack for about 2 minutes – Shaun noticed it and we rushed over to grab a few awesome shots!

OUR 2010 ALBUM COLLECTION

January 23, 2010   |   Posted By Renee   |   Engagements, Portraits, Products, Weddings

We are so excited about our 2010 album collection, and wanted to share a bit of a sneak peek for everyone right here on the blog! These are fine art books, printed on gorgeous archival quality paper. Pictures don’t do them justice, these books need to be experienced in person. For us, albums seal the deal. They are a culmination of all of our hard work, and it feels amazing to have something so beautiful in our hands. For our clients, there is no better way to display your images. These books are sure to be something that you will treasure for years to come, passing them down to future generations. We are currently offering engagement  guestbooks, portrait albums, wedding albums, parent albums, and mini purse albums. Please contact us for detailed pricing information, or if you would like to see these bad boys in person!

First up is our new 8″ x 6″ guestbook. These books lay flat which makes signing super easy, and are a great way to show off your engagement portraits!

Now for our wedding albums! This is our 12″ x 12″ studio sample, and a replica 4″ x 4″ purse album.

The mini albums are an exact replica of your primary wedding album – throw one in your purse and show it off wherever you go!

Shaun and I design all of our albums in house. We do not outsource our designs for a few reasons, the first being that we’re control freaks! Second, and more importantly, since we experience your wedding day or portrait session with you, we feel as though we are best suited to tell your story.  We like to keep all of our two page spreads simple, and focus on only a few images.

Please note that our watermark will not be on your album, that is for blogging purposes only :)

MAULER // Edmonton Portrait Photographer

June 22, 2009   |   Posted By Shaun   |   Personal, Portraits

The other day I had the chance to take some pictures of family friend Gary “Mauler” Ferrier at Legends Golf and Country Club. Former Edmonton Eskimos quarterback and CFL legend Wilky was playing in a tournament hosted by the course, and Gary wanted some pictures so I took a few shots for him.

I started out with some close ups of Gary which ended up looking insane.

I also managed to snap a picture of Gary with this long time Legends resident:
