BEFORE AND AFTER // Quito’s Makeover

Our dog, Quito, is a cross between a Toy Poodle and a Havanese which basically means that he has the ability to grow ridiculously long and thick wavy fur. We usually have him groomed and shaved down every two months, but this year we decided to let it go for three months during the winter season. Needless to say, his hair grows fast and has become a crazy mess. Well my friends, today was his big day at the groomers and we figured we’d better share a few before and after shots of his makeover.

So, without further ado, here he is before:

He looks like a totally different dog, right? It’s amazing what just a haircut can do. I hope you enjoyed this little look into Quito’s life – I’m sure you’ll be seeing much more of him on the blog as time goes by!

ADOPTING ANIMALS IS AWESOME! // The Edmonton Humane Society

My sister just adopted a new kitten from the Edmonton Humane Society and I am way too excited about it! She’s 2.5 months old, black, and so adorable! She’s yet to be named, but I think she’s a Roxy. She’s scrappy, fun, and full of energy, and needs a name with some pep! If you haven’t been to the new location, go and check it out! It’s great, and the animal enclosures are pretty darn impressive.

While we were there I fell in love with a 5 month old cat named Split. She is absolutely gorgeous, and just wants to sit in your lap and cuddle. She has very long, thick hair and I think that turns off a lot of potential families, but I can assure you she is very much worth the work that her beautiful mane calls for. Check out her bio page here – I can’t bear the thought of her not being adopted! If I were ready for a new pet, I would definitely have taken her home.

RYLEY // Edmonton Pet Photographer

We recently met up with Ashley at Glengary Park to take some portraits of her Chihuahua puppy, Ryley. Ryley is such a sweet little girl, and we had a ton of fun with this shoot! We had so many photos to choose from for this sneek peak, so we hope your enjoy some of our favourites!

I love the hilarious faces dogs make!

Ryley was not too into fetching sticks before, but now she’s a pro!

Chihuahua! // Edmonton Dog Photography

Renée and I were driving around by the University of Alberta the other day when we saw a tiny chihuahua puppy running around in the street! He was dodging cars so we pulled over made sure he got off the road. We drove around looking for his owner, but we couldn’t see anyone frantically searching for a dog so we took him home and ended up taking some pictures while we were tracking down his owner. The lost dog signs we put up by the University got a quick response and the Chihuahua was promptly reunited with his nice owner. Here are the pictures!
